What participation involves
The purpose is to understand the full learning journey, including whether early uncertainty resolves as the pieces come together.
Work through the pack
Review each stage as though you were responsible for applying it within a maritime organisation.

Provide brief feedback on clarity, effort, relevance, implementation barriers and what became clearer that week.

Revisit earlier concerns and distinguish genuine defects from onboarding issues or an expected learning curve.

ARDS Maritime Founding Panel
Participation in the Meriden Compliance Founding Operator Pilot is separate from appointment to the ARDS Maritime Founding Panel.
A separate opportunity
A limited number of individuals from participating organisations may subsequently be considered for one of nine founding positions. Strong pilot performance may help identify people with the judgement, experience and commitment required, but it does not create an entitlement to appointment.
Senior maritime scrutiny
The panel will scrutinise how ARDS — the AxiomOrdo Regulatory Data Standard — represents, preserves and connects regulatory obligations, evidence, provenance, authority, human oversight, compliance conclusions and consequential decision records in maritime use.
Different work, separate selection
The pilot evaluates the practical value and usability of the Meriden Maritime AI Readiness Framework. The ARDS panel scrutinises an emerging regulatory data standard.
Appointed founding members must be able to contribute approximately two hours per week during the initial ARDS development period.
What is not required
No board or shareholder approval is required for a desktop dry run. You do not need to deploy AI, change controlled documents, disclose confidential information, monitor employees or commit to a purchase.
Live implementation is optional, not a condition of participation.

Complete the pilot and retain the full pack
Your organisation may retain the supplied materials under an internal-use licence and later adapt the editable components for its own authorised internal use.
The materials may not be resold, redistributed, sublicensed, published or used to create a competing commercial product.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need formal company approval?
Not for a personal professional review or desktop simulation, subject to your own employment and confidentiality obligations. Any live implementation must follow your organisation's normal approval process.
Must my organisation already use AI?
No. The framework can be reviewed using a hypothetical or retrospective scenario.
How much time is required?
You should be able to work through the assigned material each week and provide concise structured feedback. Exact effort will vary and is itself part of what the pilot is testing.
Can independent consultants apply?
Yes, where they have sufficient maritime QHSE, compliance, audit or management-system experience.
Can the editable files be changed later?
They may be adapted for authorised internal use under the final licence terms. Redistribution and commercial reuse are prohibited.
What happens if I do not complete the feedback?
The permanent internal-use licence is conditional on completing the agreed pilot feedback process.
